I do have access to a 1/200 scale Yamato, if I wanted to build that. But there is the time/money/space issue.

Truth be told Jason, I work on the boat when I can. It may be one hour for the week. It may be a few hours. This type of model work with the balsa and bass wood take time for drying etc. As far tools, jig saw for the plywood bulkheads and other thicker woods. Use a fine blade. (Almost purchased a scroll saw this weekend..almost) Xacto kit for cutting the the balsa and bass strips. CA glue that holds fast and quickly. Sandpaper. Some cheap clamps and rubber bands for holding pieces as they dry. That's it as far as tools. I'm into this two months and I'm still finishing the hull. Last night got it's first coat of primer to find imperfections. This will take me some time to complete. Then I start assembling the running gear. I have the motors/ESC on the way.

![]() No, make a cheap Solar charged boat with some kind of loud noise maker on it. A control unit much like those sweepers you see on TV is placed near the Pond to keep the boat from running aground. It could be used to scare Geese out of the area I'm thinking. Geese are becomeing a MAJOR problem with local Pond owners here. @nikimcbee, It was just the kind of thing I would do!! That's why I found it so funny and cool! ![]() |

I have my twin motors installed. These motors spin like mad! I might be a bit overpowered however I do not need to worry much about pushing a heavy boat around. These should do nicely! I'm pleased with the results. The screws spin opposite each other counter balancing the torque. She should fly!

Titan 550 23 turn. Higher torque with more turns of the copper wiring. The 12 turn motors will spin faster but lower torque and burn up faster. However, your boat/vehicle will absolutely fly on the lower turn motors.
