Wow, I thought it might be a girl-thing, but no - I've just checked, it seems every new person introducing themselves has the same people welcoming and another 40-odd just looking!

Part of it is the natural tendency to look at every thread, but only reply to ones in which the viewer feels he can actually contribute something. I rarely greet people on this particular forum because 95% of the people who introduce themselves here do so because Neal requested it, and they never post again. I responded this time only to tell Nicole about the avatars available.

Also a lot of the people who look at any given thread are lurkers who haven't even joined Subsim themselves.

So now you know the horrible truth about me.
