Do you have the option selected in Commander where it makes the game skip playing the little "movies" before the loading screen comes up?
I'm just wondering if it's an issue with those little videos because I know some people have had problems with them in the past. Something to do with missing or conflicting video codecs maybe, but I can't remember.
