Windows 7 64-bit: This Worked for Me!

Yeah, I know a lot of people have no problem, but it gave me fits.

That's unusual because usually I can run things other people can't get to run. This is the first title that has given me a problem.

But it's up and running now, and I'm having fun! Just thought I'd post the details of what worked for me in case anyone else was having trouble.

hear ya on that!!!
i got a couple of older sims that worked fine for others, but took me forever to get them to work..

Is there an update for this on Win7 64 bit? I get 2 errors and changed the compatibility modes as suggested. I am using the Steam download so cannot do the first steps mentioned.

The 2 errors I get are:

"Failed to initialize graphics display" and "Context Create Error; -2147467259"

I really want to try the latest RA mod and run this aging beauty through her paces.

BTW, my humblest apologies for reviving an old thread but it's the closet I found from the Steam forum.
