Hi Clay, hope you're feeling better What kind of foul weather gear mod did you have in mind? I always thought the rain gear on the American side was correct. I had a problem with the same gear being used for the U boat crewmen in v1.5. Someone did make a correct rain gear mod for the U boats though.

The thing is, in SH4 it needs to be actually raining for the guys to don the foul weather gear. In SH3, if the wind speed reached a certain point, the crew would wear the gear, as well as if it rained of course.

I forget where I heard it, but it may not be a "bug", since the bridges on Fleetboats were higher than that of the U Boats, and the crew may have been drier even in higher sea states.

I did not know that. Thanks for the information.

A good point. True or not, I don't know; but still a good point.

Another thing that may be overlooked is that there seems to be some kind of bug where if you save the game during a rain event and reload the save, the weather in the game still shows rain, but the weather report only states overcast, and no precip. The result is your crewmen are now standing on the bridge getting soaked. Even if you drag them below decks, and place them on the bridge again, a tactic that works in SH3, you'll still be out of luck. The game weather report says no precip, even though it's still raining cats and dogs

that happens because saving often resets the weather so another (second) resave should fix that
