For Plonker you need your Peckham-English dictionary. It's listed under 'Rodney'.

Handy tool I would have never known what "I knobbed a juiced up pleb from the pub " meant without it.

Is that something they do to you in prison? Noun or verb?

What was the alternative after Tony B Liar and Sad Sack, a Milibrother?

Let's face it, whoever came in would have had to do something quite drastic about the economy, whoever came in would face some sort of 'scandel' at some point, whoever came in would face the wrath of the public whatever they did.

Let's also face it that (usually) Labour born and bred will vote Labour, and Tory born and bred will vote Tory, and whoever is in government the others will bitch and moan. Neither can do the right thing for anyone, and there is no viable alternative without the country risking some even bigger knobhead in. Let's just take it in turns and play nicely.

Ditto with the U.S Democrats/Republicans, that the problem with our democracy, one constantly re-assigns blame the other, (while nothing gets resolved by either.)
Also the change of hands every 4-10 years can be very disruptive to the development of any nation, as projects, policies, state services etc are constanlty chopped and changed.

But then again, its still better than a 'put up and shut up'. dictatorship.
I guess you can't win

Nobody voted them in to power as I recall we had a Hung Parliament. They had to do some horse trading with the Liberals to get Parliamentary majority.
