Default Could it be done?

I want to know if ther is any way to start your patrol in one port and ended in other?.

What i'm trying to do is take my uboat on first patrol (August 1939) in the port it has been made (Bremen) and finish this patrol in my flotilla's port (Wilhemshaven) and got this two port reflected in my starting ordes as Starting Base: Hamburg and Return To Base: wilhemshaven.

Any help will be too much appreciated.

IIRC that is not possible (hardcoded), but I can not explain exactly why this is not possible!

Best regards,

Let me see if I'm understanding correctly. You want to start in Bremen and travel to your home port in Wilhhelmshaven? I'm not sure if that can be done at all, and if so, how. Sorry I'm no help either.

AFAIK it could be done using WaW transformer (see wolves at war page) but you have to wait a whole month for your base to be changed and i need that the change will be done just in the moment you leave port.

I'm not sure if it is possible, but perhaps someone will help

In a word NO....the game engine by default automatically returns you to your home base, unless Bdu make the change mid patrol.

Your only option would be to apply for a transfer once you have docked and after the commencement of hostilities the parameters are three patrols or six months in time at your present base IIRC.

Since you are familiar with WaW Transformer, have you checked out the WaW training files? They have a group of commissioning cruises from the various shipyard bases to the different flottille bases. They should do what you want.

IIRC you can specify the coordinates where you start, so you could theoretically always start in our port even if your home base is not that one. There are mods that make the sub start at the dock OR at the subpens, so you can really put it anywhere you want -including in another port. The only problem is that unless you limit it to some days -when you start your career- you would be telported there again and again at patrol start even if you docked there the last time!

However this works great for "transfers" to the Mediterranean as you would start your career docked at Brest f.e. and have La Spezia or Salamis as your home base and a grid in the mediterranean to patrol. Once you end your patrol docking there, some days have passed and the game would move to a starting position in the proper place at La Spezia/Salamis docks.

You could create a base for Bremen and then edit the flotilla.cfg file. You can edit the file with your choice of bases and dates. You have to change the menu_en.txt, locations file and of course the flotilla file. There may be other files you have to edit also.

No, you have pointed out the correct two files....use the ME to place the base and ensure the coordinates in each of the files are identical.

To actually sail from Bremen to Wilhelmshaven is probably impossible. Making your patrol log look like you did is within possibilities. Almost anything of a patrol can be changed. Especially if patrol to be changed/edited isn't the last one.
