If you want to save PC gaming, you need to support independent developers and most importantly, publishers, since they very much control the content. That's why I support Interstellar Marines. While FPS might not be my favourite genre, the project does show promise in promoting the community, not only taking part in forming content, but also supporting it financially, thus making it fully independent. All the big publishers now were once small developers of great games, now they just keep spewing remakes or sequels. And what does have a new name, is usually just a terrible amalgam of already existing ideas, which is additionally terribly implemented. Nevertheless, I was never worried about PC gaming being dead. If not for anything else, I don't see Silent Hunter or other sub sims being ported unto Ritalin addled consoles.
