The playing field would have to be massive. We're not talking about individual persons (WoW) but vessels more than 50m, 100m, even 200m. But then again, it works for Eve online. Plausable, plausable.

Excuse my ignorance but isn't multi-player already here for SH?
What I mean is, it doesn't seem to be too popular.
Why would a "massive" multi-player be popular?
Nice idea but just asking.

I have never been a fan of ubi.com servers. Dedicated multi player games always work better.

I'd like to see it. Then again, I'd also like a total immersion WWII simulator.

The difference would be the persistence of the world even after logging off... a continual and perpetual battlespace. Also the difference would be that sub on sub combat would be a must.

Default Submerged!

You guys should check out Submerged! on the iphone, ipod, and ipad. It can be a multiplayer game that puts you in control of your submarine. You can earn or purchase upgrades to make your submarine a killing machine! This strategy game challenges you in many different ways.

If I had the money, my sub game would a similar concept as SH2 and DC, but you clould play any sub (Ger, US, UK, Jap, Dutch, Italy)

Sadly, that would require some serious programming talent and any army of artists to pull this off. = large dev company with deep wallets
