Just a matter of when it happens.
Then a matter of why it happened at all.

History shows us again and again that this is going to happen!
Thankfully I don't live in the Big Cities where it will happen.
All I'll need to do is watch for the City Dwellers who think they can raid the countryside.

I must confess my doubt that any severe roiting will occur in the States. People have short memories...

Depressions/Recessions of the last 100+ years:

Recession of 1980-82
Recession of 1991
Recession of 2001
Great Recession of 2007-09

After ALLLLLLL of these different economic issues and problems, we have gotten through them. I think we just need to hunker down and buckle up, this'll be a rough one.

One MAJOR difference between all of those examples and today:

A racially charged political climate, with race baiters all over the mainstream media.

If the president is successfully challenged in the upcoming primary, there will be hell to pay.

When he loses the general election, I believe cities will burn.

I wish I did not believe that, but I do.

You think it is crazy when people riot because their favorite sports team loses the championship?

Imagine if almost 10% of the american population, who already consider themselves victims, pinned all of their hopes and dreams for a better life for themselves and their families on one man, only to have him defeated after one horrible term in office.

It has already started, but very few are talking about it. Racially motivated mob attacks are in the news every couple of days since the start of summer.

Peoria, Chicago, Philadelphia, and the Wisconsin State Fair are just a few that have made headlines, with little to no follow-up in the media.

The kindling is dry and stacked. The torch is lit. Just waiting for someone to toss it on the pile.

And I'm sure they said the same thing.

I did not say the riots will start over the latest issues.
But one day?
BOOM!!
The old fan will be overloaded with the nasty stuff hitting it.
Sure it may be a thousand years down the road.
But it will happen.
People in mass groups, given time, are predictable like that.

They will riot the next time their hockey, football or basketball team loses. This seems to be status qou these days. It is in my opinion that unemployment benefits are stopping two things, soup kitchens like we have seen in the depression and rioting. As benefits come to a stop problems will begin to become more prevalent.
