45C is not uncommon in parts and average summertime day is upwards of 35C.

Best way to deal with it is strip down to your underpants and lie prone on a tiled or lino floor. Drink a beer or two before doing it and you'll sleep soundly all day.

It always amazed me when my relatives informed me they were planning to go to the beach on Christmas Day
