A Kilo is relatively small than say US or Russian nuclear boats. But if they would make it smaller so it's more suitable to coastal area I'd like it more.

Even compared to a US SSN its still quite big. I have models at the same scale of both a 688(i) and Kilo on my desk and the Kilo is 2/3rds the size of the 688(i) and is almost the size of a Trafalgar SSN.

Aaah...it's quite bulbous indeed. Seems the Lada is much smaller then. It might replace my liking for the Kilo. As long as the Lada is not overly sophisticated. The beauty or appeal of Russian boats to me is their rugged simplicity.
