Lost a cousin, deer vs motorcycle in New York helmet didn't help much.
I wear mine, it's only a difference from a open caskit and a closed one actually. |

? Yeah, not sure what you mean. A helemt can very easily be the only difference between being killed and talking to your insurance agent about getting a new bike. Helmets, mainly for serious riders.

Got a chuckle out of this as he had it comming.
![]() I had the privilege of knowing why the helmet is VERY important twice while crossing about on my moped. once I hit a debri knocking me out of control into rough gravel...sliding with my face while wearing a helmet over it. If I didn't wear it that time my face would've been a bloody mess what would be the left side of my face. another day I raced down, remembered I forgot my keys for work and raced up again hitting with my front wheel a piece of road that was lifted up by a tree's root knocking me again out of control but this time really bad as I hit a stationary car with 70km/h (43-45mph) head on launching me from my moped doing a 180º loop hitting the roof of the car with my back and the backside of my head the front window leaving a nice big star thanks to my helmet. If I didn't wear my helmet that time I would probally not be around here, in a weelchair or perhaps ended up mentally retarted ![]() So catching me ever riding around without a helmet? No Sir...I won't leave my house without it. HunterICX

To me my helmet is a form of life insurance. It insures I have a better chance of survival.
Without it the chances of survival are greatly lowered or none. |
