perhaps japanese scorts and aircrafts donÂ´t had a good sensors and radar detectors,
the pacific ocean is very wide and they donÂ´t had a lot of planes looking for submarines like in the atlantic.

The convoys systems are very different, smaller than allied and they lost more ships than they could replace.
