Hi new members, we really appreciate the feedback. We are really sorry we have to make you work hard to join the forum--we want you here, but the steps to keep out spam are necessary.

Yes, I know, having to answer questions is a big pain in the butt, I feel the same way when I register at forums. But the reality is, without this barrier, a forum as popular as Subsim would be slammed with hundreds of spam accounts daily.

As it is now, with the Q&A, we still get 2~5 spam accounts that make it through. We have a dedicated team of spam killers who zap them before they can post their spam.
