What a beauty! I used to have Airfix's 1/72-scale model, but it got burned up in a fire before I ever got a chance to build it.

I built a 1:48 scale Hawker Hunter when I was younger and couldn't get over the shape of the wings. I wasn't accustomed to seeing a curved leading edge like many of the British jets had during that era. A curious thing about the model kit is that it included a small rubber band for the ejection seat, which would pop out through the bottom of the fuselage when triggered. Didn't take long to wear out that part of the assembly.

Watching the video of the Hunters. I think the model I built was of the same production model as the third ship that taxis past the camera. Nice to see those lines again.
