Ive been reading on a forum over here that the steam version is bugged, once installed you get a 6gig update! Apparently steam tries to download the game again or something like that.

As for me dont know if I even want to play this watched a few you tubes the Dukenukem thing doesn't do it for me anymore. The long wait kinda killed it now. Maybe later on I might wanna play it.

Now that kinda irks me. Particurally since my bandwidth isn't infinate anymore. Anything that costs me more bandwidth then it should bugs me now. (granted it will take me awhile to push through a 250 gig cap, but i have a cap none the less)

Honestly I think this or ANY game will NEVER do well in reviews given its track history. From what ive seen thoguh, they added too many new FPS rules to it, thus making what could have been great, simply, ok,. or "standard fare". Probably About as vanilla and generic as COD, which seems to be what all FPS are starting to emulate.

This is true. DNF has been modernized and borrows features seen in current mainstream shooters, regenerating health, quick time events, only 2 weapons to carry and so on.

I just bought Duke Nukem Forever.

It sucks. Really and truly

all of the charm of the Duke Nukum character is absent. In the past games he was a pretty crude guy, but there was something likable about him. In this game there is nothing appealing about him unless you are 14 years old and still giggle over pee pee jokes.

I like crude humour, but this type of humour has all the cleverness of a middle school boys room.

I played for 80 minutes and there was no depth to the FPS aspect of the game. The mini games, especially the ones where you drive an RC car are just annoying and add nothing to the game.

I really liked the Duke Nukem 3D family of games. Played almost all of them to death. This last installment just plain sucks.

How they could have crapped up such a good campy series I just don't know. Maybe it was just intended for kids on the console.
