Oberon,

This is a weekend that WWII aircraft and vehicles are displayed. Most are driven and flown. They represent as many involved in WWII as they can. They stage battles with people in proper uniform, both German and US. Japanese as well. There are USO shows. Just an over all cool experience if one can attend.

Oh yes, sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the thread, I remember your pictures from the last WWII weekend and I look forward to the ones from this one I was just noting the date. Got a book from the library which chronicles WWII events in a timeline ya see

EDIT: Bloody hell...a flying B-29! I didn't know there were any flyables left...that is some line up...you lucky sod!

I wish we had similar collections of aircarft over here. There are a few single seaters and trainers, but no flying heavies or even WWII mediums down under any more.

Might have to hope on a plane one year and head over for it.
