how come i can,t post an attachment??

want to post a screen of my "fast attack" folder to see if someone can say if something is missing or where the movie/animations are cause i sure can,t find them...
not that many files in the game folder....

When you have the CD, use a program like PowerISO or similar to create an ISO image of the cd. Then make the relevant screens in D-Fend look like this:

The reason the abandonware rip you downloaded crashes for you is because it comes without the video files for the cutscenes, and as such you need to disable those in the main menu. Of course, using the original CD is much better. The cutscenes are half the fun.

i disabled the animations so i was able to launch a torp in the training mission and sink the merchant..then i ended mission and when it was going to evaluate my performance,,it crashed back to DOS..saying couldn,t locate smack movie or something..

game seems to be pretty cool from what i,ve been able to figure out so far..

found a manual to DL on line

I'd just use the original cd and then apply the patch found here on subsim. It doesn't crash much at all for me.

I,m waiting for the cd to get here..the DL version is already patched to 1.01 or whatever it is..gonna try and copy files to existing FA folder when i get cd as it seems to work other that not having the animation movies..

I like this sim,,too bad the graphics can,t be updated...

everything now works...animations,movies,credits!!!!
got the cd and copied all the files to where the DL,ed version is..

i did the iso copy of the cd,,and then the d-fend...but it won,t start using that saying "CD is no longer in C drive" like the dl version was saying before..
the fix for that didn,t work on this version..

the config.ini settings weren,t right in my dl version,, as to where the SMK_PATH was ..that was the problem with some of the animations...
