Well normally I'd suggest Jimbuna's FileFront page but I've been getting an error when I go there since last night - not sure what's up, I've PMed him about it.
So try here: ftp://hartmuthaas.no-ip.org/Volume_1...%203.0%20GOLD/ If it asks for a username and password: username: Maik password: Woelfe If you can't get directly to the URL above, you can try the main archive page here: ftp://hartmuthaas.no-ip.org/Volume_1...3COMMUNITYMODS Same username/password if needed. Scroll down to Grey Wolf Expansion Mod, click on that, then on GWX3 Gold, and you'll be in the directory that has all the GWX3 files. |

You're welcome!
I think the GWX team is mostly advising people to use Jim's FF page, as the files there are guaranteed OK - was a problem IIRC with some of the files at the other older URLs getting corrupted or not downloading properly. Not sure what FF's problem is right now, I was in there okay once yesterday but access to the page seems to be intermittent at best for the past 18 hours or so. Maik's archive is fairly new and seems to do a great job of keeping everything tidy and up to date, though, so it's always a great go-to source as well. |

Making progress...got GWX exe installed & the Bin files added. Got JGSME, & SH3 Commander....but I've ended up with two SH Cmdr folders within my Game Mods folder.... one has cfg, txt file, dat file, & an exe setup/uninstall. The other has an Adobe text file, & GWX_SH3Cmdr3.2Files_v1.2.exe.
. Should I have both, & if so are they ok in individual folders or not? |

Commander isn't a mod, so it shouldn't be in your game MODS folder.
Did you extract a downloaded zip file for it into your MODS folder, maybe? What you get when you extract the downloaded zip file for Commander, IIRC, is the documentation for installation plus the files needed to install it. The setup.exe file will install Commander, but again - it's a standalone program, not a game mod per se, so it shouldn't really be in your MODS folder. It's not something you'll be instaling into the game, you'll be using it outside the game to make selected changes in some gameplay settings and to manage your career. The other set of files you describe sounds like the config files for Commander 3.2 + GWX, if so that's not for your game MODS folder either. If it's what I think it is, it's a self-installer that adds a couple small things to Commander to make it work much mo' better with GWX3. So - whatever you've downloaded for Commander (including those config files) and extracted into your MODS folder, I'd delete that stuff from your MODS folder and extract that stuff somewhere else on your hard drive and proceed from there. Run the setup.exe for Commander first to install it. Then run the little self-installer .exe file for the Commander/GWX3 config files and let it do what it needs to do to set up Commander to run properly with GWX3. ![]() |
