I can understand your reasoning, today it is in principle no problem then they most app, you can also run on Mac/O/S, but times are changing and soon there are no barriers at all,from the beginning was the problem that you know, today is the key word, flexibility.

Have you tried Wine? http://www.winehq.org/ Open Source software for installing/using Windows software on other OS.

I tried using Wine to use some Windows applications and couldn't figure the dam thing out.
