IIRC, in the days I played around with SH4, there were discussions of file data carried over from SH3 to SH4, that however had no working function in SH4, one of those being Snorkel related data (plus lots of other irrelevant stuff). In SH3 that Snorkel was modelled and used to work, but not originally in SH4, IIRC. Much of that old SH3 data was just carried over and left 'dead' in SH4, the devs did not bother to filter that irrelevant data ballast out from SH4.
![]() Now this dead data ballast seems to have been carried over from SH4 into SH5 (unnecessarily bloating its size), meaning that the SH5 data files contain lots of non-functional dead data from SH4 and SH3. I'm pretty sure that any snorkel data presently found in SH5 files are such non-working remnants from earlier SH versions, and the devs just added new data and code onto the old frame to make up SH5. ![]() The question now is, whether somebody could blow some life into those old Snorkel data rudiments and make them work again in this present SH5 environment. Where is that genius? ![]() ![]()
