Is it possible to convert the gramophone songs to MP3 and then burn them onto CD?

Yes. Any decent sound converter will do both jobs, and there are several available online for free.

Welcome aboard!. Of course you can, it`s just like any other music file, some of them are in Ogg Vorbis format (.ogg). You need a software to convert those files to mp3 and then burn them in a CD.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I want to burn a CD for my brother, who loves '40s music. It will make a good Christmas gift!

Welcome aboard. In case you've not heard them check out my Radio X series for SH3:

Radio Deutschland
Radio England
Radio Francais
Radio USA

About an hours worth of music and radio broadcasts with shortwave radio FX dubbed in to give you that far from home feel.
