If the weather does not change for a long period of time you could use Control N to reset it. This will produce some strange effects, like sunshine and rain, but it goes back to normal shortly. The best method is to use control N, save the game, exit to the main menu. and reload. The game restarts with calm seas and clear skies.

I first used this to help me complete a photo mission to Hiroshima. Although the Bible says it will never happen again, the game's engine gave me an intense storm for 40 days and nights.

If you hit control N while at the cam, it will reset the weather, no need to save and reload. I've never seen any strange effects, just sets the weather back to clear skies, just don't be near the enemy when you do it.

Huh, didn't know you could do that. Cheers. And thanks.

You do have to be at the periscope, on deck, or on the external cam for control N to work, I forgot about that. Saving and reloading will give you clear skies AND calm seas. Control N, in game, just clears the skies.

I know how you feel TT_TT the weather is so annoying. Realistic, but annoying. I had one patrol that I went from Southern Austrailia to Northern Japan, it took I think 1 one to 1 1/2 months to get there and the whole trip was nothing but fog and rain > And just my luck, I couldnt target anything without getting VERY close to the point where torps are useless. I had to skip targeting I think: 2 Task Forces, 5 Large Convoys, 3 Regular convoys, 4 Small Convoys, and 15 regular ships....anyone know how to disable fog or rain?

Well the weather was not always great guys so its realistic.

No problems, I run into weather I usually ride it out, if find a convoy I track via radar and wait for storm to clear, if it does not after a while, I use Cntrl N(for time reasons)

Weather did not always cooperate with sub skippers even when coming into port. Some skippers would arrive at midway and would have to wait outside the reef for a day sometimes more until the seas calmed down and they were allowed to enter.Just how life goes, its a realism thing.

I love the bad weather. Setting up a sonar only Dick O'Kane shot is challenging and quite rewarding when it works.

And when it doesn't, going in for a low-vis, storm-ridin', guns-blazin' brawl in the middle of a convoy on the open seas is thrilling.

It's especially fun in my campaign where I captain the USS Nautilus, a Narwhal-class fleet boat. Those two 6 inch guns flat out murder marus tankers and even match up well with destroyers, as I am still sommewhat harder to hit than they are, even in that beast.
