Kernel_Stack_Inpage_Error is a page of kernal data requested from the pagefile could not be found or read into memory.
This message can indicate a disk hardware failure, data corruption, master boot file corruption or possible virus infection. Kernel_data_inpage_error is a page of kernel data was not found in the pagefile and could not be read into memory. This might be due to incompatible hardware or drivers. Well, finally got around to installing and running Malwarebytes or something called that, and it seemed to fix the problem. Computer has been running 3 days without a hitch, and completed a Norton AV scan.

Well, it worked great for a week, then the BSODs began appearing again. Eventually the hard reboots corrupted WindowsXP to the point where it would not fully reboot, it would just stick at the XP welcome screen. I had to use the Recovery Console and a lot of tedious typing to get the PC working again.
Now, so far it is working again, no kernal_stack errors after a week... I may get brave and load Norton AV back in and see if the system is unaffected. ![]()

Jan, did not see anything like that, re: missing drivers. I have been running 2 weeks plus with zero crashes since the last overhaul. Cross your fingers!
