SKorea: NKorea deploying troops, weapons,
near Pyongyang ahead of key national events.SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea is deploying troops, artillery and tanks near Pyongyang in apparent preparation for a massive military parade marking key national events later this year, South Korea said Tuesday.
The military buildup near the capital began in mid-July amid high tensions on the peninsula, South Korea's Defense Ministry said in a report submitted to a parliamentary committee. "Preparation for a massive national event is under way" in North Korea and the move is presumably related to a key Workers' Party meeting in September and the 65th anniversary of the party's founding in October, it said. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/08...tional-events/ Note:Published August 24, 2010

Are you implying the Revered Leader cannot provide the required fuel?

It occurs to me that if all their hardware is as old as that Mig that crashed last week or two ago, their technological disadvantage is worse then i would have originally thought. They do have numbers, and motivation (they have nothing to lose and everything to gain), but I strongly suspect the DPRK's communications and radar infrastructure, would be eliminated virutally overnight, and current battle field technology would make short work of the tanks and planes. DPRK is using outdated soviet era hardware, no? Which leaves thousands of screaming southbound communist Hanguk's with AK's to deal with.
The thing isn't really the DPRK in a resumption of a shooting war. The thing is China and what they decide to do if war was to resume. Garunteed, china does not want US forces that close to its borders , AND it doesn't want thousands of DPRK refugee's flooding into its already overpopulated country. |

I don't think the North Korean army has much of a chance to force a breakthrough of the DMZ; even if it did, it would have no chance of supplying exploiting forces.

He also designed the diesel engine.
North Korea is blessed with all natural resources in great abundance. The people's technology can transform the blessed soil of the homeland in to fuel and munitions. The Dear Leader is on a horse... ![]() The horse is now a PT Boat... ![]() |
