I guess one of the questions is: Is it morally acceptable for a society to prevent the stupid people from voluntarily killing themselves?

Is not society better off if people ,who would go in to a 110C sauna to see how can last the longest, were to die before breeding?

Perhaps our society should encourage such "competitions" in the greater best interest of the society?

That's all correct, but if I would have said that, I already would be in the block again now.

As I see it our constitution guarantees everybody the freedom to freely unfold his personal stupidity as long as he causes no negative consequences for others by doing so.

no negative consequences to OTHERS... that's the important part
by letting them have these competitons we make sure they do onto themselves before they do onto others

You would be surprised how common it is to heat the sauna to 110-120°C over here. It is the water that is poured onto the rocks every 30sec that heats the sauna way over the 110°C temperature in the competition. Think of it like sunny weather, it might be 30°C in shadow, but once you go out into the sun it feels like 50°C, only in case of sauna it's the steam that gets you.
