It's not unusual for there to be CME's and increased sunspot activity. It might hurt some electronic devices here and there, and maybe even interrupt radio broadcasts from time to time. It's when the Sun begins to increase in size that we will need to think about picking up roots and moving to another part of the galaxy, but that may not happen for another billion years or so.

I wonder if we'll see anything this far south...it would be nice...but it would have to be pretty heavy for that to happen. It did happen once, a good few years back, but sadly I never saw it.
