One of my all-time-favorites-books is "One of Our Submarines" by Edward Young, Commander, D.S.O., D.S.C., R.N.V.(S.)R. from 1953 (pre-ISBN).

Latest one is "The History of the British 'U'-Class Submarine" by Derek Walters (damn you, Keltos!

) ISBN1-84415-131-X

Anti-Sub-related: "Escort Commander" by Terence Robertson. It's the story of Captain Frederic John Walker CB, DSO and three Bars, RN. and is highly recommend.
