I tried it again with the drivers that came with it.It has been running for a half hour and so far no problems.I set the fan with the Precision soft ware, but am confused about the cpu settings involving shader and the cpu I have them at min.should I bump them up?

HI stoppro

First off I build my own Hi-End gameing rigs and am running a pair of these.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...295&CatId=3669

Happily you have EVGA. No questions asked, Hassle free support.

Your PSU is fine and I think your smart enough to hook it up right.

Start with a base line. > Install ONLY drivers for Card first. Do the CPU frills later.

See at basic settings if it runs stable, on the same game before, you do further tests turning on other features.

If it runs stable for at least 2hrs Gameing......

THEN start adding features, One at a time.

If it doesn't run with just drivers, EVGA has a simple RMA process.

I'll watch your thread to see how it goes and help you along.

Good Luck

edit : And quit screwing with the fan software settings.

Let it run at Max for now. Once it's stable you can test that.
