I'd play CoH more often but since I only have the first two I'd have to torrent some three or four gigs worth of patches.
That's what puts me off.

Men of war on offer though...

If I were to recommend game now it would be ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead and while at it ArmA 2 itself.

It's not just a first person shooter it's probably the most realistic as the gaming industry and community allow.

And there's the real time strategy element in it.
Base building units buying and commanding.

It's modern though.

I got back to this game a month ago and I'm actively playing the multiplayer. Definitely one of the best RTS out there. Indeed the community is not too friendly but there are still few gentleman players out there.

Example about unfriendly players: I was playing 1 on 1 with somebody and I was winning if I remember correctly. The guy was a bad loser and accused me that I was using a map hax. I don't even know what that is .

My nickname is Auray. I'm also a "noob" (I hate that word) so no worried I'm too good player for you.

So how in CoH do I search for a specific person to add as a friend? I clicked the "friends" button but it just shows that I have no friends. There's no "add friend" button.

My nickname is CoH is the same as here. I played a couple of skirmishes against the CPU years ago, and that's all the MP CoH experience I have, so I should be easy pickings!

Hmm, I really don't know. If you are interested in learning the CoH, head to the gamereplays.org site and company of heroes sections. There are strategies for different factions as well as beginner guides.

I got CoH + Opposing Fronts.

@OLC, afaik you can't search for friends, you add friends by right clicking their nicks in the Chat and invite them to be your friend.

so first you'll have to set up a meeting, meeting eachother in the chat channel Amsterdam around that time for example.
