Actually i have yet to see somebody even modify the existing interieur for the u-boats. let alone create a whole new modern one.

And, I am saying that you might not need to totally rip the interior apart and reinvent the wheel in Goblin to make it look a little more modern(1950ish).

Well there's very little that would realistically carry over from a Type VII to any first-gen US nuclear sub's interior. The dials are different, the controls are different, the layout is different...
