Default TC

I'll apologize in turn for assuming everybody knows the acronyms, LOL.
If you prefer to keep things "speeded up" so to speak, here's a suggestion.

If you get a radar contact, check your surface search radar, if nothing there then you know it's an aircraft. Use time compression at NO MORE than 64 and if an aircraft pops up you will get the "aircraft spotted" warning which is USUALLY time enough to crash dive (just don't mess around). Once you crash dive you can use TC underwater for a speeded up hour or so (watch your batteries) then surface. If, on the other hand, after a few minutes at 64 you don't get the warning then the aircraft hasn't come your way and you can bump up the TC to whatever speed you want and carry on.

I use the above method once in a while when I'm not in the mood for a long game. It works fairly well.
