Yeah well , i was tracking a merchant parellel course trying to get ahead . I couldnt get ahead as it was the same speed so i thought stuff it , i will just head straight for it flank and use my deck gun . From the conning tower exhilleration turned to horror when i realised it was a destroyer and not a merchant . Whoops .

Did you managed to escape or sunk her?

There was no fog and thru the uzo i could make out the top half of the ship but no hull . I could have swore it was a merchant . I realised it was a destroyer when i checked with the UZo again and seen it heading straight for me . Luckily it was a fair way off so i dived and then headed 90 degrees at flank for a few minutes then went silent . I was damn lucky because it was shallow water off england .
