Couldn't agree more, never have so many trees been needlessly butchered. The manual for the original game in the series 688i Hunter Killer published by EA was far superior and has full mission walkthroughs which clearly explained not only what to do but crucially why you were doing these things.Why Sonalysts didn't do something similar for DW is beyond me and may actually go along way to accounting for why the game didn't do very well in the marketplace.

It's $15 on Steam, or for $30 you can get the whole pack of all the similar games: 688, Sub Command, Fleet Command (pretty fun) and DW.

Yes, I'd recommend that $30 pack too as you will get 688 and it's manual with that and you can learn there first then move on to DW with a good grounding in what to do as far as the subs go at least.

That's just crazy, i've seen it on the "discount rack" for $9. But that's in the US (Target stores)

It is well worth it. I haven't played it in years, but it is a great game.
