Sniper Elite has few good missions, sadly, the others are more close quarters combat missions than sniping.
The game is in 3rd person only. Realism goes as far as windage/bullet drop/fatigue. No sight adjust, so it's all mils. I guess it's praised as much as it is, because it really doesn't have much competition.
