Any good sources on loadouts and such? Would really like an overview with mechs and their stats (weapon slots, armour, speed, etc).

Something like this?

I tend to go and try out what works (Well, that is, either that or grabbing the biggest Mech around and strapping as many LBX 20s as it can possibly carry), which is the reason I just went through the Solaris light circuit with about a dozen different Mechs.

Yeah, something like that.

Bit of a pain to see what mechs are available in campaign and then going back to main menu to compare in the lab.

Hehe, spent most of yesterday afternoon setting my joystick up ingame (Unfortunately my virtual Saitek X52 + joystick was giving me problems, so I'm stuck without my throttle quad until I get it sorted), and getting the hang of things in Instant action. Now I just gotta wait til they get MTX sorted so I can patch the devil.

By the way, for those of you who use joysticks, how do you have things setup? Right now I've got on Y-axis for pitch, X to turn, and the rudder assigned to the torso. Almost makes me wish I had pedals...

What would you wait for if it's already patched up to the latest version (Which it should be if it doesn't require you to have a disk)?

I have my joystick set up to move the torso and the keyboard to move the legs. The rudder on my joystick is broken, but even if it wasn't I don't think I would've used it, just feels better using the whole thing with 2 controllers.

Now I need to find out the most ludicrously overweaponed setups for light Mechs there are again...

Well, I got the base v.0017 torrent downloaded and unzipped, but everyone over there is still going over whether or not you can then use MTX to patch over that.

Strange, all the versions up to .0020 should ask you for the disk...

I've been looking at playing this once they have the self-extracting package ready. Is it a full standalone game?

It also apparently comes with MekTek's mod packs. (New mechs and updated graphics)

Actually, you can download the torrent and use WinRar to extract the .mtx file, then download a usermade patch to bring it to v0020. Dunno if multiplayer still works though

Latest patch is out. LOS radar is finally in, which means that light mechs finally have some use for scouting behind mountains and hills. Also a new Mech, some maps and other stuff.
