He probably wouldn't take your case unless you were female and he could feel you up some (or more). Plus of course there is the whole mad cow thing.

Stay away from the ramen, that stuff is loaded with fat (palm oil and the like). Read the label on it some time, might shock you.

Not only lots of fat but lots of artery clogging saturated fat. That stuff is a heart attack generator.

Yeah I can't stand that it's so bad for you. I've eaten a ton of it, but try to stay away from it now.

Good luck at your new place, Steve.

Well, I'm kinda sorta settled in, which is why I haven't been online for a few days. Tomorrow I'm hoping to get all my stuff (mostly 40-or-so boxes of books) moved from one storage unit to a much cheaper one, and then get my computer set up. I was thinking about having to pay for a satellite online setup, but now all I have to buy is a usb wi-fi thingie, because they have free wireless internet. By Sunday I should be up and running, but that might be delayed by a day or two as it's been 20 degrees faranheit colder than usual here and snowing of-and-on.

Already got my DVD player and some of my favorite movies out of storage, so I'm set for now.

One step at a time mate....one small 'positive' step at a time.

You send me your physical address when your settled....you hear me?

Are you sure you're not my long-lost older brother?

Great to hear how things are working out, awesome about the free wi-fi!

I do have a sister a couple of years older than you, and a brother about your age. Actually I spent four years a decade ago working in a book distributor's warehouse. Any books that were damaged were written out of the system and employees could take them, the horrible limit being no more than three books per day. Once I was in the returns department I found out I could write off any book I pleased, so I got a bunch of brand-new stuff for free. I would still be with them, but in 1998 the parent company moved them to Charlottesville, Virginia, and they didn't take me.

I would love to still work there, and I'd love to live there. The company's address is now on James Madison Drive.

If either or both of you come to the subsim meet this year Mrs. August and I might get a chance to show off our personal library to some fellow book lovers.
