exactly what im thinking. for me the enjoyment doesnt come from walking around talking with people. and while the interior of the sub is pretty cool, after about 5 minutes i was done with it. im here for the hunt! |

I like the walkthrough feature. You almost had that in SH4. But I agree with you, it's really just a cool feature and nothing more. The one-click away stations and controls that we had in SH3/4 are what you need to control a sub. But sometimes, when on a long transit, it's kinda cool just to wander around the compartments, getting a feel for what it was like.

I love the walkthrough feature too... except that darn ladder.
It's not the concept of a ladder that's the problem. My problem is climbing down from the bridge to the control room. Look down just right to climb down the ladder... get to the conning tower... get off the ladder... look down just right... back up... go forward... adjust the vertical angle of my view again... back up... go forward... oh, got it... climb down to the control room. Oh, that part's a pain. Otherwise, I love climbing up and down the ladder. |
