Did you open your torpedo tube doors prior to firing?
If not, there is a few second delay before the torpedo is actually launched which will cause the eel to run behind where you aimed and probably miss.
The Q key opens your doors.

If not that, sounds like you may have misjudged the target's speed.

Oh yeah....Welcome aboard!!

Thanks Sharkbit, Yeah torp doors were open. So you think it will be the targets speed?

Cheers

That would be my first choice. If you're underestimating the target's speed, the eels will pass astern of the target. But, double check you range and AOB as well.

Thanks

Have you tried this tutorial on manual targeting:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1080

It helps a ton and gives a good start on the basics. It will help with that annoying AOB.

There's a ton of other really good info on manual targeting on the forum as well.

Default Install Assistance..

Re-posted here from SH4 thread:

"In regard to your suggestion about SH3..I d/l (from direct2drive) and when opening the sim(this is stock no patches or anything yet) I can't get any sound and the graphics are stretched (I have a 24" HD screen and use 1920X1080 and don't see where to change the resolution). Do I need a patch to get SH3 up and running or do I need to reinstall for some reason?

No problems with SH4 at all."
