I've managed to add icebergs into a single mission, too:

I wonder, is it possible to add them to the main SH5 campaign?

Sure, but they will only show up when starting a new career

So the graphics engine doesn't go haywire after a while, w/ icebergs around? SubV can you share that single mission for testing purposes?

The icebergs look magnificent, keep at it The General

Of course. I simply modified the existing single mission from BARF mod using Mission editor 2.

Here it is: http://www.filefront.com/15978093/Iceberg1.rar/

Unpack into data\SingleMissions.

Thanks! I didn't get any game anomalies this time, guess I had done something wrong before.

Absolutely beautiful things these icebergs, and with no apparent FPS hit

Yes, they are.

We absolutely need to include them into the main campaign.

I wonder how the AI reacts to icebergs on collision course?

Single ships probably would try to avoid (how successfully? They're big..)
but convoys?!

Pintea, would you kindly add these great looking icebergs to the main campaign? In the next patch, maybe? Please.

Also, please enlighten us how to add the subnets and minefields to the game. We've tried to add them, but to no avail:

Um, hello? That's what I'm working on. The Devs would've added them by now if they were gonna. Atleast they gave us the tools and the resources, for that I am very grateful

I have successfully got about 30 Icebergs in the Campaign, but you'll have to restart the Campaign to see them. I was gonna wait until the release of Patch 1.2 before I Posted any Mod, because I have a feeling most people would restart a Campaign then anyway.

If the devs have altered the traffic on ports - crashing into harbours etc - then ppl will have to start a new career to make use of those changes.

Makes sense to release your mod then

I hope you're right. I wouldn't want The Devs holding back on any improvements because they're worried about asking people to restart a Campaign. The Devs may feel that asking us to do that is kinda like admitting they made a mistake and they haven't exactly been keen to do in the past

By the way, I set the Icebergs as High Priority Contacts. I assumed that this would force a drop out of T.C. when the Watch-Crew detected them, so as to avoid ploughing into one Titanic style. Hasn't worked so far. Still testing...

Its possible they dont even realise you have to start a new career to see any campaign changes
Nothing surprises me any more

Not sure how the high priority works as was an improvement for SH4 and didnt really get to do anything much in the ME on that one

It looks really interesting, what is the quickest way to locate an iceberg when starting a new career?
