A few people have reported problems with the spy missions.

You are already really close to the dropoff point.
Try going to all stop to see if that triggers it.

Also, I'm sure I read somewhere that Neal had to wait in position for 5 hours to get the mission to trigger.
You could try that.

A part of me wishes that when you do a spy mission you see a shady character in a trench coat sleeping on a bunk or standing in the aft torpedo section.

Then when you click on him he does an accent "Allo Allo" style

You darn near gotta beach the boat before the cretin'll leave. Just approach the shore at a 90 deg angle SLOWLY, rudder amidships - and get ready to BACK UP quickly! I dropped a guy off outside Liverpool in another mission and just pulled the Londonderry gig myself.

You kinda do! Here's a picture of the Narvik commando team drop off. I came to a stop near the mission icon and as soon as I stopped that little raft appeared. It swam towards the shore finally disappearing just before it.

That's a great picture kylania.
Do they manage to keep the dinghy upright?
I remember all the special forces I dropped off in SH4 had the un-nerving habit of rowing to shore upside down.

...and the terminology, referring to the boat, "...swam to the shore..." - how ROYAL NAVY is that? Delightful!

Shades of Patrick O'Brien, "despite the damage and being down by the head, she still swims!"

In SH4 I thought the spies and commandoes would have their names added to your crew until they were dropped off, and pilots that you picked up would be listed.

But no.

Well I've now run aground at Londonderry and...nothing. Stopped, waited, but, ultimately, the sun'll come up and I'm still in sight of a destroyer far to the west - who was patrolling the harbor after I sank his pal on the way in...

SO - all advice I've offered re: dropping off you-know-who should now - and forever - be ignored.
