Surfacing will unman the deck gun, even though you're already surfaced.

Hi, I can not figure out how to dive or surface to a specific depth. The only options I have are "v" for dive to 40 m, another button to crash dive, a periscope depth "r?" and an option for surface. I don't see how to click on a random depth of say, 60 m. I noticed some of ya'lls screenshots had a green bar under the depth number at teh bottom left of the screen. I do not see that green bar. Any suggestions? Thanks
