I know this is very "Pie in the sky" for not having any modding skills myself, but could this be locational around a 3d radio object in the future? Like there is a radio at the side of the captains bed and the closer you get to it the more clear it is. Hearing it to drown out the din of the 12 compression-induced explosions happening just a few yards away would be an experience.
You guys are already improving this game in a big way even without my idea, cant wait to get home and try it. Can you pick up this signal in the north sea east of the UK? |

Go into the commands CFG and find this entry: [Cmd561] Name=Toggle_Activate_UserRadio Contexts=1 Key0=0x54,,"T" Binds radio to the T key. Change the frequency on the Radio to 33 in game, job done. ![]() |

I really missed some vintage music in SH5. Thanks for fixing that.

You also might want to take a look here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ighlight=radio It's originally meant for sh4 but you can easily implement it into SH5. Z. |

Not sure what I miss here, added this line and when pressing T nothing happens. I can't figure out how to make this to work on the stock gui. And I don't want to install any other shortcut mod as I like it as it is. Can someone pls explain i more detail how to make this work on the default gui?

Well, it not works no matter if I'm outside or inside the port. Is the latest mod I added, so nothing else could overwrite the command.cfg. And by default I'm not using any mod that change my gui back to an early SH version, only those that add or fix bugs in SH5.
So I still use the default keymap, only shorcut added is the Ctrl+D for deep under keel and this one. Still, pressing T has no result and I see no other option to acces the radio. Actually the radio guy is the most useless crew member, I should just throw him overboard ![]() Bottom line, on a default gui I installed this mod with JSGME (tryied to add it manually with same result), modified the command.cfg for the shorcut and radio.ini for the radio channel. Now my radio.ini looks like this: [GENERAL] RadioRealism=Yes StartCh=1 [CHANNEL] Name=Washington Folder=Washington Freq=22 Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000 ;MusicVolumeOnNews takes values from 0.01 to 1 MusicVolumeOnNews=0.4 [CHANNEL] Name=Paris Folder=Paris Freq=33 Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000 ;MusicVolumeOnNews takes values from 0.01 to 1 MusicVolumeOnNews=0.4 Any help is apreciated, the silence on board is just killing my morale ![]() |

Hum, you are right.. there is another T in the cfg file, but not shown on F1:
[Cmd21] Name=A01gun_camera Contexts=1,15 ;Key0=0x54,,"T" Page=0x3A000000,3710 GoBack=Conning_deck_camera Huh, now I just need to find another free button and test it again, I will get back if I manage to get this working. Later Edit: actually is more "T": [Cmd490] Name=Camera_on_sub Contexts=1,2,3,5,9,11,13 Key0=0x54,,"T" |

Oke, it works now but I can't understand how. I changed the shortcut in commands.cfg as follows:
[Cmd561] Name=Toggle_Activate_UserRadio Contexts=1 Key0=0x54,,"Ctrl+T" If I press Ctrl+T nothing happens, but if I press only "T" it works. Beats me why. Radio Paris works anywhere, even in middle of Atlantic, only problem is that the volume is pretty low, so when I'm over 12 knots, is pretty hard to hear it and I can't adjust the volume or do anything else than push the control buttons. When I hover the mouse over the radio I got a message with: " Are you sure you want to leave the current game session?: Paris :33.00" Anyway, I'm happy that finally I got some music on sub and I don't have to shot the radio guy. Would be nice to reduce the radio interface and make it more slim to fit the new gui, like leaving only the control buttons on a dark background. I would do it myself if I just knew where is the radio interface stored... |
