The results might be more intresting if there is an identical poll in the SH3 forum about SH3.

I voted for 7. Fix up the bugs and end those CTD's and it'll be a straight 8. I enjoy the Game more than I enjoyed SH3 Vanilla. The moment when the first supermods surface, this will be my new queen.

It's a 7 from me. A somewhat shaky 7, but a 7 nonetheless. However as with Ducimius, I'm on hold with playing it for now - although not due to DRM, but mostly due to waiting for a patch. I fully expect it to be patched up at least a bit before I really sink my teeth into it - there is a lot of good things in the game, but the layers of silly bugs make it difficult to fully embrace right now.

I gave it a 7, no less no more.

I'm actually amused at the stats. There is a nice bell curve centered around 7 right now which I think is totally the rational assessment of this game - but then BAM, there is suddenly a spike at 1 at the bottom. Honestly, I bet my bottom that most of those 1 ratings aren't really ratings of the game itself...

I think in this current state where the game at the moment it is only worth 6 points.
Too bad I would give them more, but since many things are missing or are defect.
And no cow to milk. Too few highlights!

I too have given it a strong 7, would have gone higher if it had been more completed and if they had kept the UI and controls and such from SH3. And also of course if not for DRM. But it is what it is, and so far except for once it has worked flawlessly with the exception of what happened the other day but that was on my end and system, not with UBI or the sim.

But man I just am blown away by the graphics, the entire boat modeled and able to wander through it and on it from bow to stern.
As I came into port at Kiel on this first trip out as a first officer, I kept getting an uncontrollable smile at the stunning sights. And so much harbor traffic and escorts around I had to keep a real sharp eye out, in fact had to come to a stop nearly as one DD crossed my course ahead of me.
I counted ten ships in all between DD's and merchants. as I made my way in.
Never ever saw this in SH3, nor have I seen the sea so well modeled in any sea going sim. Oh, and then there is on top of that,(or under rather) the undersea world as well.

And then once docked, and after the meeting with the base commander and my Captain, and being informed of my promotion to Captain and given the boat and crew I was having such a nice time wandering around the pen.
This is such a far far greater thing than SH3 ever hoped to be.
And I think that once the patches come along, it'll become a 10 without a doubt.
