My first subsim was also Silent Service except on the Commodore 64.
Man at the time I thought the visuals were so stunning and realistic.
Need to find an emulator and search that game out.

Gato sub on PC, with lovely CGA graphics mmmm.

Actually the game probably wasnt bad, i just had NFI what i was doing...couldnt understand why i couldnt catch up to the ships when i was submerged

must be 20+ years ago, but i can still recall the torpedo firing sound (over PC internal speaker) in my head....think hippo taking a dump

So many hours spend on Silent Service on Amstrad 6128. This is the game with which i was hooked with subsims.

My first subsim was Silent service II
