Yeah watch merchants. They have tried to ram me dozens of times. Just get out of the way and you will be all set.
Also If they see your periscope and your causing damage to others, they will try to ram you that way too. Almost was rammed at periscope depth once when I was busy concentrating on killing a bunch of others. Then I was looking around and noticed a big transport about 300 meters away heading right for me. LOL. Good stuff.
