This mission is a mess and i ended up leaving it alone.

Up north there's like one, maybe two, auxiliary ships a month and hardly any task forces and the carrier isn't at the spot but near Plymoth.

Now i'm doing Weserubung and it's almost the same. No battleships and rarely english ships close to Narvik. This game is getting more and more frustrating.

First thing I ran into was a taskforce with a QE battleship, 2 cruisers and a bunch of escorts.

Plenty of ships to be found there, me thinks.

When you see a ship, point the periscope or uzo at it and press space to lock. You can click the small picture of the WO to bring up a menu where you can switch the TDC on and off.

With it off, you'll always see it as an unknown, even if you identified it. With it on, you get several options to fill in, such as bearing, angle on bow, speed, distance and a option to classify the contact. Click it, and you get a filterable recognition manual. The filters don't really seem to work right yet, but you can page through the manual to identify the ship.

well doesn't matter anymore ^^ mission time ran out as I invaded scapa flow and in the end I sunked 510.000 BRT from september to march.
So I hope it doesn't matter that much =D

but the to find the AMC was esier then the carrier ._.

funny thing is... as I shipped from Bremerhaven to Lorriet I stumbled upon a big warship fleet with one fleetcarrier.
Infiltrated the fleet and sunk the carrier. right at the start of the campaign =/

I sank 2 armed troop transports for 10% hull damage and after repairs sank the carrier for 31% hull damage!!! the thing is both ship types go very fast in the dark!!!
Now for one or two more before heading back for repairs!!!!

I sunk the Aircraft carrier in the shaded area and it doesn't fill up the bar. I have already done the AMC things. Why doesn't it recognise I've sunk the aircraft carrier ?

Hi Bravo

If my memory is correct Blockade of Germany is from the stock game.

The mission icon should tell you what the objective is.

The AC is in a later mission.

The AC sinking will appear in the captain,s log but is not part of your objective.

No, theres two objectives in blockade of Germany. one is the 5 AMC ships (done that) the other is sink an AC patrolling the British isles. There is a shaded area to the south of Ireland and I sunk it there. Other people say they got it outside Portsmouth.

Hi Bravo

Thanks for jogging my memory.

The AC is from/to Plymouth so it will be at an angle down from Lands End.

Ever thought about giving Open Horizons a try rather than the stock campaigns?

I stumbled across the carrier in the western mouth of the channel while I was doing the "100000 ton" mission. Not knowing that this was a target of the blockade mission, I tried my luck and managed to sink that beast.
When I then started the blockade mission, the white bar of the carrier mission goal was already at 100%"! So obviously, the carrier has been counted as "mission fulfilled" although I had not started this mission yet
Same here
