My god, we really need a VAST tutorial to explain these things again....

Read the first pages of this doc. It will explain the relation between the AOB and the Bearing. (i hope)

For aob, I explain it like this, ask yourself how many degrees from the bow a crew member on the targets bridge has to turn to look directly at you, that is the aob.
