I don't use the optional mod, and I've had no problems, except for the sea rising through the bottom of the rafts, which, let's be honest, is less of a problem than the sea coming right over your head when your on the bridge, but you can still see the watch crew glued to there binocs.

I don't think this was fixed in GWX3.0. In any event, the error is very small and probably of no significance, except for very long shots. If you attack under 1,000 meters, the error of range is so small as to make little or no difference, and I have not had a problem at 100% realism with unexplained misses.
